Volvo P1800 Jensen 1961

This is a very early car built in England at the Jensen factory in West Bromwich. The first two years were built here and then the whole production line was moved to Gothenburg, Sweden.

This car is one of the very first P1800 cars built (chassis 158) and was delivered on 6th of July in 1961. It was actually a prize in a competition held by Volvo

The condition of this Volvo P1800 is overall very very good! It is a very low km car that has had only a light restoration by one of the previous owners.

Engine and drive train: The original 100hp unit is very strong and the twin SU carburetors give a great sound. A recent service has been carried out and this Volvo is ready to drive anywhere. Gearbox is a 4 speed with overdrive and it had a recent overhaul. The car has driven just over 100,000km. Tyres are almost new.

Body: All panels align very good for a P1800. The little groves between some of the body panels that were there new are still there (on the rocker panels, under the head and tail lights). The paint is very nice and is the original color number 70. All chrome details are in condition like new. Up front, there is a set of very nice Marshall headlights that was an original option.

Interior: All details inside this car are very nice. The carpet was replaced some time ago but the rest of the cabin is original since 1961 and in very good condition. Instruments are clean and in a good working order. If the inside should not be to your liking we can change it. Upholstery work is what we do.

Schönes Volvo oldtimer aus Schweden. Sehr frühes und seltenes P1800 bei Jensen in England hergestellten. Sehr gute Karosseriesubstanz. Gepflegte Innenausstattung und Technik. Neue Bereifung. Technisch und optisch sehr guter Zustand.
Overdrive Getriebe. 100.000km Tachostand abgelesen. Überholte Bremsen, Getriebe wurden mit Rechnungen vor ca. 10.000 km komplett revidiert. Innenausstattung sind alles original und sehr schön.
Die Werkzeugtools und handbuch sind auch vorhanden. Der Volvo befindet sich in Löddeköpinge Schweden und ist jederzeit gegen Voranmeldung zu besichtigen.
